work sucks but it's a reasonably compensated suck vs the bullshit I have to do around the edges when I'm not getting consistent work

oh I'm working every weekday next week. that's dope actually

diner in a fancy restaurant flags the waiter and points to a man eating quite loudly a few tables over. "how on earth can this man eat so loudly?"
waiter sighs, replies "he used to do sound effects for TV and stuff, mouth sounds and such"
diner nods. "I see. he's ex-foley eating"

one of my coworkers has started wearing the same dva hoodie I own to work and I'm both a little jealous that I can never wear it to work now but also subtly relieved that she has precluded any possibility of me doing so instead of looking at it and thinking "what if I did"

dva figma starts shipping in about a week... could be here by the end of the month

I think all the mashing and adrenaline is aggravating my indigestion. I could have been sleeping

can't believe I managed to accidentally stunlock this boss but after like two unbroken minutes of mashing it still wasn't dead and I let it slip

oh nevermind it's not even schematics for the board, it's part definitions for making your own. hrm

they do have schematic files for the breakout board freely available but getting one made up might blow out the cost even further than that

if the same store offered anything else I wanted it'd be a different story but as it stands, bad deal

for comparison I can pick up the port w/o board on ebay for about $8 aud which is pretty significantly less. though that breakout board would be really nice to have

though cripes their international shipping adds a lot. $2 usd for the port & board... $15 usd for shipping

oh I guess this place also sells breakout boards alongside their gb link ports, which is what I really wanted anyway. that makes this shopping around easier

though idk if the arduino sdk for it has the interrupt responsiveness it takes and I don't really wanna go any lower level if I can avoid it

wonder if I could reasonably port my gb printer/camera interface to an esp8265/6 instead of the bad baremetal-on-a-pi solution I have going and maybe get actual wifi integration

managing to get a greasy thumbprint on my phone every single lunch break despite my best efforts
